Coffee Grounds: Beauty

Coffee-grounds

From gardening to DIY furniture restoration, old coffee grounds that would have been destined for the bin are making themselves useful all over the home.

Now see them in action in a bathroom near you!

Coffee locks- not recommended for blonde beauties.

Before washing your hair, grab a handful of grounds and massage it in to your scalp and lengths from root to tip.

Yes it feels a bit weird but it’s a fantastic exfoliator and also removes build up from shampoos and conditioners.

Alternatively (if you can’t face the grit factor) brew up a really strong pint of black coffee and let it go cold.

Soak your hair directly or a flannel and wrap, leave it to soak in for 5-10 minutes.

Beware getting it on your face or clothes, black coffee is a notorious stain…once you rinse and dry your hair will be left glossy and smooth!

Good news if you are unfazed with the coffee grinds exfoliator…an all-natural skin scrubbing recipe including coffee is being hailed as a reducer of cellulite, just mix:

  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee grounds
  • A drop or two of almond oil
  • A few drops of ginger extract and seaweed extract
  • Mix in sea salt for a softer scrub

Go to town on those problem lumps and bumps with a loofah or a rough sponge.

The caffeine in the coffee grinds helps improve circulation, which will remove excess water from skin and make it appear firmer.

Bye-bye cellulite!
