Leading Coffee Confectionery to Launch in UK

Already available in 55 countries across the world, the internationally top-selling coffee sweet brand, Kopiko, is scheduled for a UK launch in January 2011.

With two different flavours available – creamy cappuccino and original coffee – both sweets feature high quality, real Java coffee, to ensure they achieve authenticity of taste for on-the-go consumption.
Commenting on the UK’s increasing taste for coffee, based on every high street across the country having at least one coffee shop, Kopiko UK managing director, Dan Lawson, said, “The time is right to launch Kopiko sweets over here and give British consumers the chance to indulge their passion for coffee any time, any place.”

Both versions of the Kopiko sweets are available in 120g bags with around 30 individually packaged pieces and can be purchased by retailers in boxes of 12. Several of the UK’s leading suppliers will be distributing the brand, including Palmer & Harvey, with all of these running introductory launch promotions.

Made using real coffee beans, the world-leading confectionery is said to have a deliciously rich taste, the original coffee variant offering a more indulgent taste experience, while the creamy cappuccino versions are loved for their smoothness and creaminess.

Named after the plant from which it is derived, the popular confectionery contains Kopiko coffee, Kopiko being an endemic species of the coffee family. It is a small tree that grows in the wet forest of Hawaii and is distinguishable by its even, dark green colour and noticeably veined leaves.
