Time for a Moocha?
The first day of April brings up plenty of gags, jokes and shenanigans and we’ve just forwarded a fantastic coffee related April Fools that is so plausible we are surprised somebody hasn’t tried it yet.
Entitled Cowfee, the beans are, unfortunately, out of stock.
After rise of Civet Coffee and the elephant aided Black Ivory Coffee, a UK based coffee company, Caffe Society, has ‘apparently’ just started offering coffee beans plucked from cowpats that were ‘made in Britain.’
By harnessing the natural digestive process of cattle, where food passes through four separate stomach compartments, the coffee takes on a sweeter taste that isn’t found in other coffees. There’s also a long, lingering, nutty mouthfeel to round off the drinking experience.
A diagram goes through the digestion process step-by-step, explaining the process to layman coffee drinkers.
Laced throughout the product description the eagle eyed out there will notice plenty of bovine related nuggets that suggest it’s all a bit of fun, including the last line that suggest they are working towards creating a strong variety plucked from ‘100% bull manure’.
We suspect that it would be perfect for a Moocha or two, or maybe even the odd cowpatcino!
