Potential revolution in office coffee machines

Office workers the world over will know what it is like to keep an eye on the coffee machine, so that breaks are well-timed.
Many look forward to their little break away from the desk and want to make sure that they avoid a queue and take a coffee at just the right time for them.
Help, you’ll be pleased to hear, is at hand, thanks to a new design of coffee machine.
So what is it?
Qualcomm unveiled its new product at the Mobile World Congress.
It is a coffee machine which is Wi-Fi and can be operated remotely.
Good hey?
That means that employees can send their instructions to the machine at times that suit them, rather than hanging around in a queue and so on.
The machine is powered with Atheros 4100 chips.
Users can order a cup of coffee from their desk (or sofa, or wherever) by using a tablet.
They can customise the drink in terms of size, strength and brewing time.
Once the coffee is ready, the machine alerts the user.
The bad news?
This is not a working prototype, but rather an example of things that are possible and might follow in the future.
Not a bad idea, hey?
Watch this space.
