Networking coffee

Coffee is a well-known brew for helping a social occasion along.
Think about the standard chat-up line relating to coming in for a cup of coffee, or the increasingly popular use of a coffee shop to network with family, friends, colleagues and business partners.
It seems that Dream High, a non-profit community focused organisation from Liverpool, England, is getting in on the coffee act.
As reported by Bay TV Liverpool, the organisation has had some good plans and an event recently also helped to boost business relationships.
This is, of course, timely, as the world is still struggling to find its way out of the economic doldrums it has been in over the past few years.
It is increasingly important to be commercially savvy in networking and making new and potentially new contacts in harsh economic times.
So what was going on in Liverpool?
In Brunswick Dock at Bean, Dream High organised a networking event which aimed at bringing together businesses to share ideas and forge new alliances and relationships.
It was called an Open Coffee event.
The organisation gives free support services to those who are developing new enterprises in the area, encouraging them to grow and flourish in their community.
Although this is a Liverpool based arrangement, it would be worth hunting down (or even starting your own) business networking coffee event to boost business in your area too.
