There is something of a penchant at the moment for the indie shop, isn’t there?

Not all of us want our high streets and city centres to look the same and some people fight to maintain its individuality by supporting their independent shops.

We all like to see something quirky and non-homogenised branding.

There has been an interesting story along these lines in the Tyrone Times recently.

It seems that an indie coffee shop chain is expanding very nicely thank you very much.

This is all rather heartening in these harsh economic times when people have to fight for their jobs and work.

In addition to the delicious coffee, it is hoped that this new outlet with create some 10-12 jobs.

In addition, the chain emphasises the community-based nature of their enterprises.
