You might have noticed that there has been a rise and rise of the coffee festival.

As the coffee industry is a massive player on the global stage, so coffee-lovers are becoming increasingly inventive about the different ways of celebrating their love of the humble coffee bean.

All over the place, local coffee festivals are blossoming, often incorporating food demonstrations, coffee products, tastings and family events too.

The Manchester Evening News has just published an article about another such coffee festival that is to take place in the summer.

The Chorlton Coffee Festival is said to be the first in Manchester, England.

It is to take place at the end of June and is the brainchild of a Canadian, who wants to share her love of the coffee bean.

According to reports, Lorelei Loveridge was inspired to create the festival when she was refused a coffee in a bar in her local town of Chorlton and, instead, was offered something alcoholic or some tea.

So if you venture to this festival in the summer, what delights await you?

There will be coffee-specific events such as talks by the experts and various tastings, together with some entertainment in the form of art exhibitions and also music too.
