From time to time, we report on all sorts of wild and wacky coffee houses.

People, it seems, are rather inventive and creative when it comes to mixing and matching coffee shops with other spaces and uses.

Some have created coffee houses in unusual places, such as lighthouses.

Many have mixed the use of their coffee houses with unusual activities, such as bicycle repair shops.

Others put on entertainment for their customers, including in some cases, several friendly cats!

The Hindu has just published an article about another way of diversifying coffee houses.

In Hyderabad, coffee shops have become a little more creative.

What have they done to bring in customers, over and above the normal fare?

These coffee shops offer film-showings at weekends, so that their coffee-drinkers can watch a movie when they stop by for their cup of joe.

The films which are on offer tend to be indie films, or unusual ones   not the run-of-the-mill blockbusters at any rate.

They include all sorts of genres, including thrillers, suspense and comedy films too.

The ambience is different from the big chain cinemas too, so that coffee-drinkers can sit on comfortable sofas as they watch the films.
