Coffee is good for you!

lots of coffee

In general, it would be fair to say, don’t you think, that the things we like to eat and drink are generally deemed bad for us?

Chocolate, fried food, alcohol, cheese, too much meat, too much sugar, too much fat and so on.

However, there has been an article on the New York Times website that has caused something of a stir in the coffee online press.

Why?

Because it seems that coffee-drinking might not be such a bad thing.

How did this suggestion come about?

There has been a 13 year study of coffee consumption which observed more than 400,000 people.

The observers wanted to assess the participants’ relationship with coffee.

The findings?

Those women in the study who consume between three and four cups of coffee on a daily basis were up to 13% less likely to die (during the study).

Coffee can affect the contraction of other diseases too.

It has been suggested that drinking coffee can protect the consumers against type 2 diabetes.

Further studies of coffee have suggested the caffeine may reduce the development of Alzheimer’s disease in certain circumstances.

Sound encouraging?

We hope so. Bottoms up!
