The tiny town of Buford in Wyoming has been in the news of late, after it was sold at auction in 2012.
How small is this American town?
It was occupied by one sole resident and comprised just over 10 acres.
It is 8,000 feet above sea level and the tiny town has its own convenience store, modular home and gas station.
Why is it in the news?
Because the buyer has announced that it will be a ‘hub’ for the sale of coffee.
Who bought the little town?
Nguyen Dinh Pham acquired Buford at an internet and on-site auction.
He paid $900,000 for it.
As an importer from the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City, he bid against other people from 46 countries.
What does Pham plan to do with his recent acquisition?
As reported online, he dreams of creating a coffee hub.
Pham wants to sell coffee from Vietnam and establish this brand in his little town of Buford.
He apparently intends to ship the coffee to Buford, where it will be made available for purchase and also distribution to warehouses and for sale via Amazon.
Pham created a company with an associate, Tuan Do.
What would you do if you purchased a little town?
Would you choose to set up your own brand there?
Keep an eye out for PhinDeli Corp coffee to see how they succeed.
