There is one thing that can be said about the coffee industry: it is a global phenomenon.

Not only is it sold and drunk all over the world, but countries all over the globe contribute to the finished drink of coffee that you sip in your local coffee bars.

Are you drinking smooth coffee blends from Colombia in South America, or perhaps a Kenyan coffee from Africa or even a civet-coffee from Indonesia?

The beans are roasted and prepared all over the world too.

One example of this multinational aspect of coffee-drinking was exhibited by an article in Bristol Culture recently.

The Full Court Press (located on Broad Street) went to great lengths to give their customers a sensory explosion.

They served coffee with an unusual entertainment, bouncy Norwegian House music to keep customers happy as they sipped on their coffee.

The roastery based in Bath, Round Hill, creates a drink from the Kongo Cooperative, in Ethiopia in Africa.

This country is heralded as the birthplace of coffee.

As well as the taste of African coffee, headphones were on offer to listen to tracks by Todd Terje.

In addition, customers could view the work from an artist from Oslo adorning the walls.

The coffee shop is pulling out all the stops coffee demonstrations are planned from the Round Hill roastery too.

These sorts of shops and events go a long way to create a great atmosphere for the community.

Definitely worth a visit, to entice all the senses not just your taste buds.
