Dubai

The 5th annual International Coffee and Tea Festival opened today at the Meydan IMAX Gallery in Dubai

It’s the only event like it in the Arab world dedicated specifically to the trade of coffee and tea available to all (over the age of 18) until November 9th.

A dead cert to boost the UAE’s already flourishing café industry, tipped to be worth a staggering $81.6 million a year, this event will bring in new brands and products to the market.

Workshops dedicated to coffee preparation, grading and roasting and many more have been drawing the crowds of amateurs and connoisseurs alike.

The 5th National Barista Championships and the 2nd round of the National Latter Art competition will be held today.

The final day of the festival they will reveal UAE’s Barista Champion who will go on to represent the UAE at the World Barista Championships to be held in 2014.

Ryan Godinho the coordinator for the UAE World coffee events thinks this event will translate into long term business benefits for the region and the industry as a whole- they are dedicating themselves to serving the best speciality teas and coffee in the Middle East.
