India is falling for Gloria Jean

Gloria Jean’s Coffee is one of Australia’s premium brand coffee products and several news stories have recently suggested that India is starting to rather take to the brand.

Gloria Jean’s Coffee has been sold in India throughout the last four years and it seems that things are now starting to pay off.

The master franchisee of the brand has revealed that things are going so well, that they are looking to expand at the rate of some 30-40 cafes on an annual basis in the country.

Now that things are breaking even, Gloria Jean’s Coffee wants to make the most of the Indian market.

According to reports, the company is expanding at the rate of 8-10 percent.

Because of the profit margins from café chains, it is said to be important to expand at volume, to keep profitability up long term.

It is hoped that if the company manages to create around 250 outlets over the next four years, this will allow the Gloria Jean’s Coffee brand to expand out of the cafes and be retailed as they are in Australia.

In addition, the company would seek to improve its food product range, with ‘hand crafted’ goods, to meet the demands of customers in the larger outlets.
