Have you heard of the London Lifestyle Awards?
They are designed to celebrate the best of the best in the thriving and cosmopolitan Big Smoke city.
Who decides who wins these awards?
Nominations are made by business owners and also the public, but it is the good old general public that cases the votes.
A ‘final judgment’ is then made by the London Lifestyle Awards Committee.
The awards cover all sorts of areas of London life, but, for coffee fanatics, the award for the best coffee shop is surely of interest.
So who won?
As reported in London 24, the award for the best coffee shop went to one in Middle Lane in Crouch End.
The Haberdashery is owned by Massino Bergamin and Greg Vukasovic and the pair are said to be delighted, especially as they were an ‘almost’ in the 2011 awards.
The coffee shop was opened three years ago and one of the aspects of their establishment which is believed to have contributed to their success at the London Lifestyle Awards, is the fact that they put great store by the community aspect of the shop.
The local community is a close one and the coffee shop supports local artisans, musicians and artists and also fund-raises for charities too.
It is this community feel that may have pushed it to the top position in the awards.
If you’re in Crouch End, perhaps you could drop by and make up your own mind about the shop.
