Where’s the cheapest cup of coffee?

In this economic climate, many of us are on the look-out for a bargain.
When it comes to coffee, it is relatively easy for us to compare prices in the local coffee shops and cafes in our localities, less so, of course, when thinking about the world in general.
Of course, if you really want to throw money around there are some expensive connoisseur coffees (for example, the coffee which has been made via the digestive system of a civet cat).
However, for those of us who are less choosy, which countries are the most expensive places to purchase a cuppa?
As reported in the Wall Street Journal, there is a difference in the price you have to pay for a standard cuppa from a coffee chain in one country, compared to another.
Which is the most expensive, comparing like with like?
There is, you might be surprised to hear, a lot of variation.
One of the cheaper places, you might be unsurprised to hear, is Mexico, where the price of a cup of coffee is less than 50% cheaper than an identical cup in Zurich.
However, that is not the most expensive cup.
Where is the most pricey cuppa?
In Oslo in Norway.
In this country, a grande latte from a chain coffee shop costs $9.83, compared to $2.80 in New Dehli.
