Coffee record breaker supports Fairtrade

So you all know that we have recently had Fairtrade fortnight, right?
That is to say, the couple of weeks leading up to 10 March, aimed at raising awareness and support for the Fairtrade movement.
No?
Well, Fairtrade is the organisation to promote fair terms when purchasing products such as coffee and cocoa from farmers in developing countries.
It’s easy enough to support the movement yourself just pick up the products with the Fairtrade logo on them.
However, one record breaker has its own way of promoting the event.
As reported in the Northern Echo, a car which is powered by coffee has recently ended its UK tour by returning to Barnard Castle to support the event.
Powered by coffee, I hear you say, is that right?
Yes, that’s right.
The car uses coffee chaff pellets as fuel (this is a waste product in the coffee-making process).
It is heated to create carbon monoxide and hydrogen to power the car.
Martin Bacon, the owner of the record-breaking-coffee-fuelled car, took his vehicle to let shoppers have a look and watch it move.
Why is the car a record breaker?
Because it reached a world speed record for a car of its kind, by reaching the dizzy speed of 65 miles per hour.
