If you keep an eye on the coffee related news, you’ll know that coffee has been heralded as something of a health enhancer in many ways.

There are many medical research projects regarding the consumption of caffeine which indicate certain health benefits.

There is also a new craze for the use of green coffee supplements as a means to weight loss.

However, coffee also has some more simple benefits to exercise fanatics.

As covered by the Daily Record, after running the Bupa Women’s 10 kilometre event in Glasgow, one lady told the press that all she wanted at the end of the race was the comfort of some coffee and cake.

The event was a popular one   involving some 13,000 women runners.

The idea was not simply competitive, it was about satisfying lifelong ambitions, keeping fit and enjoying exercise with other like-minded women of all ages.

The course involved an uphill struggle in the climb of the Pollok Park hills.

It is also argued that coffee is something that is useful to imbibe BEFORE exercising.

It is said that the caffeine kick can help you make the most out of your workout.
