Coffee to help cats?

cat

We have reported before on the strange phenomenon of the cat- coffee relationship.

There has been a recent spate of special coffee shops (originating in Japan), designed specifically for cat lovers.

Why?

Because customers can pet a friendly moggie as they sup on their drink.

The caffs are filled with cats so that, as well as relaxing with a cuppa, coffee-drinkers can spend some time with some feline friends, to unwind.

For those who are unable to have their own pet   perhaps lifestyle or lease restrictions prohibit cat ownership   this can be a welcome break.

However, there are other ways of helping cats via coffee.

As reported in the local news in the town of Grantham, UK, abandoned or homeless cats are about to be helped by coffee-drinking.

At the top floor cafe in Notions Antiques (located in the Market Place), there will be a fund-raising coffee morning.

Eat some homemade cakes.

Enter the raffle.

Win a prize.

And in doing so, help to make some money for ROCK.

What is ROCK?

It stands for the Rescue of Cats and Kittens, a local centre which helps and rehomes cats that are without a home, or have been abandoned.

When is the event?

Friday 26 July.

What time?

10.30am to 2.30pm.

Drop by if you are in the vicinity and fancy a cuppa (or want to help the cause).

Alternatively, why not have your own coffee morning to help animals in need?
