Marley Coffee aims to further its European and UK ventures in 2014

The coffee loving members of the United Kingdom and Europe will soon be able to indulge in the artisan roasted, sustainably grown and ethically farmed blends produced by Marley Coffee thanks to the triumph of the business in 2013.

Retailers across Europa have been eager to sell the brand that has triumphed with their single serve espresso capsules in recent times. Hoffer, Aldi and Selfridges have played a part in expanding the Markey name as the retailers have begun to stock the coffee

Rohan Marley, (yes, the son of Bob Marley) the Chairman of Marley Coffee, is confident that 2014 will be the year that the US-based brand cracks the U.K market after successful working relationships with some of Europe’s most prestigious retailers such as Planet Organic and La Grande Experience

They aim to enter into the hotel and restaurant business initially with an attractive all inclusive package which includes a machine plus a supply beans. Already trading in and around London and Birmingham, the company are hoping to branch out in these locations first.

Recently, Marley Coffee have secured a deal to distribute to Sunkost, a health food and retail franchise in Norway, so we can presume they will continue to explore openings in the supermarket area, seeking out equivalents with a base in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In addition to retail expansion, the company are also setting a course to showcase the brand as they have booked in to attend a number of coffee festivals and trade shows across Europe that are scheduled to take place in the coming months. In February they are down to visit BIOFACH in Nuremburg, Germany – a leading trade fair for organically grown food. Furthermore they are also heading to the SIAL exhibition towards the end of the year. Located in Paris, SIAL is one of the world’s largest food shows.

So, with big things on the horizon for Marley Coffee, expect to see a lot more of the American brand, especially if you are residing in mainland Europe and the U.K.

They are company to keep an eye on throughout 2014.
