Coffee as a new career

What would you do if you wanted to start again in a new location?

Would you find any attraction in opening your own business?

Would you have the get up and go to start something on your own?

That’s precisely what Vikki Young did.

In an interesting article in the Gympie Times, Young decided to go it alone when she first moved to Gympie.

To begin with, she started and ran a courier service called Fastway.

However, when she suffered an injury, Young felt obliged to sell her courier business and think again.

What was her solution?

A mobile coffee van.

This is not the first story we have heard about people, often single owners, starting a small but successful coffee business.

It can be scary to start something new on your own, but coffee businesses on this type of scale seem to be achievable with a certain amount of determination, common sense and hard work.

Young had already some experience as a barista and finds that the mobile coffee van can be worked around her other commitments to her partner and son.

Of course, it is easy to take coffee to wherever it is required, responding to consumer demand.

Businesses can have their very own coffee shop on their doorstep.
