Barista robots to deliver personalised coffee

Briggo Coffee Haus

As in many areas of life, technology is growing apace in the development of vending machines.

There has been an interesting article in Wired recently, which extolls the virtues of the latest offering by Briggo, with designers, Fuseproject, which has created the new Briggo Coffee Haus.

Why has this machine hit the headlines?

It is an automated barista, created to take orders and prepare drinks which are personalised to the orders of the customer.

The coffee robot will memorize orders and ‘never misspell your name.’

How does it work?

Orders are placed via a touch screen on the robot’s facade, or alternatively via an iPhone app.

There are a choice of coffee options (lattes, plain black, etc) plus a series of additional ways to personalise the drink.

Customers can choose flavours or sweeteners as well as milk, so that the drink is created to their own specification.

Once prepared, the customer is notified by a text.

In addition, the particular recipe of the individual customer is stored for future use if needed.

The first barista Briggo robot was launched last year, although another design is under consideration to work on and improve their creation.
