Coffee prices dwindling.
Reports from New York state that coffee prices and stocks of Arabica fell for a 9th consecutive day.
the longest running streak of decline since 2009.
Another rainy season in Brazil one of the world’s leading coffee producing countries means a bumper harvest, the more coffee there is- the cheaper it is, good news for coffee investors and drinkers.
Whether the consumer will see the benefit of the extra supply in the price they pay for an average cup of coffee, remains to be seen, probably not in all honesty.
Last month unroasted coffee in New York was currently over 5 million 60-kilogram bags according to a trade group Green Coffee Association.
That’s down slightly on Augusts figure but still remains high.
This trend seems set to continue for this season at least which is good news for coffeeholics the world over there’s absolutely no shortage of supply for your favourite beverage now or any time soon.
