Jitterz Java has the right to bear arms

The Jitterz Java in Spokane, Washington, will be packing more than a caffeine kick after the coffee stall was targeted by armed thieves for the third time in a month.

The stall is on W Northwest Boulevard.

A new security bar was installed the second robbery to hit the hut and whilst it proved successful when thieves attempt a third raid last weekend, owner Sara Chapel has told KXLY that there will always be a gun at the coffee stand.

“It’s just a little aggravating, you know, people are just out for themselves these days,” Chapel told the Washington based news station. “It’s just sad to put other people in harm’s way just to get a few hundred dollars”

It is believed that it is the same man who is responsible for all three attacks.

Police say that the suspect is a white male, presumed to be in his thirties, around 5’10” in height with a medium build, dark hair and a goatee beard.

The second robbery was captured on the store’s CCTV and the footage has been released to the press.

Three of the baristas who work at Jitterz Java already carry guns; Chapel, and other staff member, are planning to start firearms training in the near future and she is advising her other employees to do the same.

In addition to the presence of a gun, the coffee stand is also getting a complete overhaul in other, more conventional, security features. The cabin will be getting new locks on the windows and they are debating whether getting a bulletproof tint to their windows.

Unsurprisingly, their Facebook page has been inundated with positive comments and the local community has rallied around this seemingly continuously targeted coffee stand.
