South African coffee shops can be found with new app
What did we do before we all had mobile phones?
They perform duties far beyond the traditional phone call.
Texting, internet access, apps ranging from anything from localised weather reports to finding out the name of a song which is played on the radio.
However, coffee lovers in South Africa might be interested to hear about another recently advertised app.
This application helps users to find nearby coffee shops and restaurants.
It was launched by GustPay who are clever to incentivise users to look up Gust Coffee Club merchants.
Provided the customer can show the ‘Gust Finder deal’ on the screen of the phone in the coffee shop, he is entitled to a free coffee (to be chosen from a menu when within 100 metres of the shop).
At the moment there are about 60 active merchants of the Gust Coffee Club, largely around Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
There are additional features too a list, map and reality view and if you shake your phone, suggestions for places to visit also appear on the device.
At present Gust Finder 1.2 is available at no cost for iOS devices, but android equivalents are set to follow.
