Portacabin transformed for new coffee shop

We have reported on various unusual places for coffee shops from time to time from lighthouses to bicycle shops, coffee shops can often spring up in unusual places.
And as reported in the Frome Times, another new coffee shop has just opened near to Frome railway station and it, too, has found a home in a building originally intended for a different use.
What’s the story?
An old portacabin opposite the railway station has opened of late.
It has been given a makeover with an inside seating area and timber cladding and a brand new name: Coffee Station.
The new coffee outlet prides itself on being different from the usual run-of-the-mill station cafes.
As well as employing trained baristas to serve up a decent freshly brewed cup of coffee to give customers a pleasant caffeine fix, there is also a carefully thought through menu.
Sausages and bacon have been locally sourced and there is a selection of options for breakfast and lunch.
Despite the trials and tribulations of the economic climate of late, it has been a common observation in the coffee press that independent, often low key coffee businesses have been successfully launched over the last few years.
Many have also reported expansion plans and encouraging growth.
People often want to support local businesses when they buy their morning cup of coffee and provided the quality and service is impressive, punters will often choose an independent shop for their coffee fix.
In surveys, independents have, in these circumstances, held their own against the big chains.
Where is your favourite coffee stop?
