Yorkshire barista makes headway in coffee

Have you heard of the World Coffee in Good Spirits contest?
It is a coffee-making competition and was held in Seoul in South Korea.
The local press, aptly named The Press, in the English county of Yorkshire, was very proud to publish an article about the successes of a local lad, who did well against his competitors at the event.
What happened?
Dan Fellows came fourth in these championships!
The World Coffee in Good Spirits event is looking for talented baristas and other bar staff who can create coffee combinations with spirits.
Many of us will have heard of the drink, an Irish coffee (which includes whiskey as one of the ingredients) and the competition invites competitors to go one step further and create other drinks.
Eighteen countries took part in the event in Korea.
Fellows is 22 years old and he impressed the judges by creating a couple of signature drinks, an espresso with a cocktail, including Shiraz and also a couple of Irish coffees, which included Origin coffee as part of the drink.
This talented barista cut his teeth in the coffee industry in a bar in Cornwall, but now works in the beautiful historic city of York.
His current place of work, The Attic Bar, has also received praise, as it won the award for the best espresso in the United Kingdom in 2012, from the Beverage Standards Association.
